Stephanie Lee

Medical Student, Summer 2022

As a summer research intern, Stephanie investigated the effects of persistent inflammatory pain and acute alcohol on corticolimbic phosphorylation levels of glucocorticoid receptors, GABA receptors, and GIRK channels. She utilized her background in medicine to translate her findings to clinical pain data collected in people living with HIV. Stephanie will be presenting her findings at LSUHSC's upcoming Medical Student Research Day and is contributing to a currently in progress manuscript for submission to Addiction Biology.
