As a neuroscience student at Tulane University, Sarah balanced her research in the Edwards Lab with her undergraduate coursework. While in the lab, Sarah studied the endocannabinoid system as a neurobiological correlate of pain avoiadance-like behavior in states of opioid and alcohol dependence. Her work preliminary data paved the way for new hypotheses and research avenues in the Edwards Lab.
